This is my list of favourite songs from this month that I've been listening to on repeat recently. (p.s I know my music taste is questionable, but hey, there's something for everyone 😄)
Joy songs! (songs that have a happy message and ✨joy✨)
11:11- Ben Barnes- this song is such an ear worm and makes me so happy! One of the best love songs I've heard.
22- Taylor Swift- Yes, this song was released ages ago, but only now am I loving it! I could listen to it on repeat all day, it just makes me wanna dance!
Olivia- One Direction- I love you I love you I lova lova love Oliva 👏🏼👏🏼! That line just exudes joy!
Vibe songs! (a bit of a miscellaneous section full of songs that I like just because)
Groundhog Day- Em Beihold- this song sounds really cool and the lyrics are great, I'd never heard Em before this song, but she seems like a great songwriter.
pov- Ariana Grande-did I miss the bandwagon? Yes. Is this kind of basic of me? Yes. Do I care? No! It's a great song, you can't change my mind.
Dandelions- Ruth B.- I can't explain why but something about this song is just so cool! I love it.
Girl power songs! (songs written by empowering female artists and absolute queens with great messages)
Happier Than Ever- Billie Eilish- Queen! This song is so awesome, but I wasn't expecting anything less from Billie, absolute legend
The man- Taylor Swift- If I was a man, I'd be the MAN. This song really highlights the expectations of girls and women by men and I love it.
Run the world (Girls)- Beyonce- An essential in this section, I mean, read the title!
Daily dose of Hamilton! (Non-Hamilton fans... either educate yourself or keep scrolling... just kidding! But seriously I love theatre!)
Wait for it- Hamilton cast- My (tied) favourite song from Hamilton sung by my favourite character (other than Angelicaaa!)
Satisfied- Hamilton cast- My other (tied) favourite song, I mean, Angelica is awesome!
What'd I miss!- Hamilton cast- Loving that upbeat energy Mr. Jefferson.
Piano songs (because sometimes you just need to let it out, plus I'm a sucker for piano songs, which is all of these)
Easy on me- Adele- Discovered this gem a few days ago and man, its epic. Those high notes are so impressive yet emotional at the same time
She used to be mine- Sara Barellies- I love Sara barellies and this song is just another one of her masterpieces.
Carry you- Missy Higgins/ Tim Minchin (there are two versions)- If Missy Higgins and Tim Minchin both deem a song worthy to sing then I'm bound to love it. This song is amazing.
Miscellaneous songs! (songs that fit none of these categories but are too worthy to not include)
July- Noah Cyrus- I heard a cover of this song a year ago and now it's permanently stuck in my head forever. It's a great song.
4 Stars- Girls 5 Eva- This show is great, and this song is even greater. I mean, come on, it has Sara Barellies and Renee Elise-Goldsberry!
That was long post but hope you enjoyed!
