But seriously, I’m not an artist and I am not in a high enough year to be studying 24/7, so why do I feel the need to own a premium collection of stationery🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️?
For example, colourful markers and pens. Although I only use them sometimes, I feel the absolute urge to have a rainbow assortment of each kind, gel pens, markers, scented markers, brush pens you name it!
So let's talk stationery!
My favourite stationery shop at the moment is typo. I really love their variety of stationery and aesthetic... they have some super cute stuff. I recently brought some dual ended brush pen artists markers and a really cool fold-out marker case from there because I have gotten very involved in learning to brush letter. The marker case is so convenient and has a super cool retro flower pattern on it. The markers, despite being very inky and bleeding a lot, produced some really great swatches and were very smooth to write with. 10/10 love this shop!
And does anyone else remember living in Smiggle as a younger kid (I won't judge if you still do haha). All the sequins, pom poms, scented stationery and bright colours in general were my greatest fantasy. But living in Broome, we have neither Smiggle nor typo, so visiting the city was my one chance to go on a shopping spree.
I definitely didn't care as much for clothes or accessories as I did for stationery when I was 8. Maybe not even now! I think I just like the idea of owning my own mobile stationery shop 😅😅😅.
Anyone else?
